Perhentian Island Resort is situated on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, between Kelantan and Terengganu. The Resort is built on a 9.947 hectare site facing the South China Sea.

The main gateway to the islands is via Kuala Besut Jetty. Journey time from Kuala Besut Jetty to "Long Beach" takes approximately 25-30mins.

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, take a flight to Kota Bharu by Malaysian Airlines or AirAsia.

Take a cab from Kota Bharu or with our appointed land transfer agent to our Kuala Besut Jetty Office or Tok Bali Jetty. There are travel agents and taxi ticket counters at the Kota Bharu Airport's arrival hall.

From KLIA, take the ERL train to Kuala Lumpur and then head to Hentian Putra Bus Station via KTM Commuter service.

Take a coach from Kuala Lumpur directly to Kuala Besut or a coach that travels straight to Kota Bharu in the state of Kelantan. If you choose to travel to Kota Bahru, you may wish to enjoy local breakfast and walk around the town before taking a taxi or arrange with our appointed inland transfer agent to take you to our office in Kuala Besut in the state of Terengganu or by private boat operators at Tok Bali jetty in the state of Kelantan.

The entire journey would take approximately 8 hours.

If you are driving or taking a coach, be sure to use Highway 3 (Coastal road). Enjoy the idyllic life of the locals along the way.
