Diver Courses

There are a number of courses that can be taken at Perhentian Island Divers. They are all PADI course run by qualified PADI instructors. All students will be issued with the appropriate PADI certificate upon successful completion of the course. All courses are lifetime valid and are internationally recognized.

2. PADI Open Water Diver

Outline: This course is the most popular entry level SCUBA course in the world. Those qualifying will be certified to dive with another diver also qualified to the same level or higher to a maximum depth of 18M.

Perquisites: Students must be over 10 years of age. Students must float for 10 mins in water too deep to stand in and swim for 200 meters.

Length of course: 3-4 days.

Overview: 2 half days in classroom. 2 half days in shallow water. 4 open water dives.

Materials included: PADI Go Dive Manual, PADI application PIC. Rental of all required equipment.

Cost: RM 1100

Sales notes: This is the best course to do if you want to learn to dive and you have enough time. PADI SCUBA Divers can go on to complete PADI Open Water Diver by doing only 1 ½ - 2 days.
