Diver Courses

There are a number of courses that can be taken at Perhentian Island Divers. They are all PADI course run by qualified PADI instructors. All students will be issued with the appropriate PADI certificate upon successful completion of the course. All courses are lifetime valid and are internationally recognized.

4. Rescue Diver

Outline: This course teaches divers how to deal with problems and emergencies that may occur while diving. Increases confidence and builds rescue skills. Focuses on methods to help yourself and others if problems should arise.

Prerequisites: Must be over 15 years old. Must be PADI Advanced Open Water Dive or have equivalent qualification and minimum of 20 dives. Must complete PADI emergency first response or have other CPR/First Aid qualification.

Length of course: 3-4 days.

Overview: 1 day study. 1 - 1 ½ days in shallow water. Normally 3 open water dives.

Material included: PADI Rescue Diver manual, PADI application PIC, Rental of all required equipment.

Cost: RM 1050

Sales Notes: Ask if students wish to do some of the study before arrival so they spend less time in the classroom. If so refer to dive centre.
